La tradición de festejar el Día Nacional del Vino empieza en el año 2002, cuando por la decisión del Gobierno moldavo el segundo domingo del mes de octubre fue declarado Día Nacional del Vino.
En Moldavia hay muchos viñedos y la uva y el vino moldavo son objeto del orgullo nacional. En todo el país y sobre todo el en sur hay mucha tradición de vinificación, y con esta fiesta se pretende aumentar el prestigio de la producción vinícola nacional, consolidar la imagen del país en el mundo y atraer a Moldavia turistas del extranjero.
En el año 2008 la Fiesta del Vino es el 11 y el 12 de octubre y como es costumbre la inauguración de la misma tendrá lugar en la Plaza de la Gran Asamblea Nacional (Piaţa Marii Adunări Naţionale), en la capital moldava, Chisinau, donde estarán colocados los stands de exposición de los participantes (las mayores bodegas y fabricantes de vino de Moldavia) en los que se van a exponer los resultados de su labor durante este año.
Asimismo estarán organizadas amplias manifestaciones culturales y artísticas con la presentación de las principales tradiciones nacionales moldavas.
Suelen haber muchísimos turistas extranjeros que se llevan recuerdos gratos y simpatías frente al pueblo moldavo y sus tradiciones.
Tú también puedes ser uno de ellos y estás invitado si quieres conocer de cerca las costumbres de mi país y vivir de cerca las emociones de esta Fiesta.
